There's no cost to homeowners for a referral. HVAC companies may compensate HVAC Service Line for referrals, which is explained further in our Referral Disclosure.
No. Being connected with an HVAC company never obligates you to hire them. You're free to ask questions, get other opinions, or decide not to move forward.
